I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts in making this year's event the best yet. We had a great turn out, with a fantastic array of models. Our thanks and appreciation go to Tom Powers for bringing the Schweizer (full-sized helicopter) to display! Please also remember to support our event sponsors who graciously donated items for our raffle and event prizes. I am working hard to get all of the pictures taken by club members posted on the slideshow above soon - I have more than 150 new pictures to process. If anyone took pictures at the event and would like to have them added to the slideshow, please email them to the Webmaster.
5/15/05 - Chatfield Reservoir RC Field - Due to 2 RC airplane accidents in the past week at the new camp ground area immediately west of the RC field, the Jefco club might restrict all fixed wing flying to the north/south runway. I have not heard the official rule changes yet. Helicopter pilots will probably be able to continue using the east/west runway area for flying, but I seriously recommend NOT flying west of the end of the east/west runway. The Jefco club will likely prohibit all flying west of the east/west runway, which includes helicopter flying. In the interest of safety, please make sure that you know the approved flying areas and any rule changes before you fly at Chatfield! Stay tuned for more information.
